Xbox One

The Xbox One is Microsoft's third generation video game console. It released on November 22, 2013 in most major regions, but released nearly a year later in Japan on September 4, 2014. The reveal of the console during E3 2013 is still regarded as one of the worst conferences in gaming history with consumers and journalists alike criticizing the focus on media consumption over gaming capabilities, the high price point of 499USD (compared to the Sony PlayStation 4's 399USD), the forced inclusion of Kinect 2.0 as well as the mandatory constant internet connectivity. Slightly less powerful than the competition and being considered a disappointment by many, the console still went on to have two major revisions: the Xbox One S which came in a smaller form factor and introduced 4K Blu-Ray playback support, as well as the Xbox One X in 2017 which significantly increased performance to render games at up to a native 4K resolution. Notable games include Forza Horizon 3 & 4, Halo 5, Gears (of War) 5, The Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Sea of Thieves, Sunset Overdrive or Minecraft. More information: Wikipedia
