Xbox
The Xbox, often called "Original Xbox" or "Xbox Classic" is Microsoft's first generation video game console. It released on November 15, 2001 in North America, March 12, 2002 in Europe and February 22, 2002 in Japan. The name of the console derives from Microsoft's DirectX Graphics technology, being referred to as the "DirectX-Box" during development. Largely based on the PC x86 architecture of the time, It was the most powerful console of the generation, releasing some time after Sony's PlayStation 2 and Nintendo's GameCube. It also was the first console to include a 100Mbps broadband modem out of the box and pioneered Xbox Live, following in the footsteps of the Sega Dreamcast's built-in 56k modem. Notable titles include Fusion Frenzy, Halo 1 & 2, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, Fable, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Dead or Alive 3 or Doom 3. More information: Wikipedia
